FARROW RIVERSIDE MIRACLE PARK NAMED BENEFICIARY OF MAYOR GARY MCNAMARA’S CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Communities of Windsor-Essex to Benefit from Supporter Led Event

Windsor, ON. The Organizing Committee for Mayor Gary McNamara’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament is pleased to announce that Farrow Riverside Miracle Park has been chosen as the main beneficiary of this year’s event.

“Farrow Riverside Miracle Park is a community gem, not only for residents in east Riverside but for all of Windsor-Essex County,” says Tecumseh Mayor, Gary McNamara. “The tournament committee was delighted with the application and is excited to support the Park, which will offer a broad range of services to residents throughout the region.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to be selected as this year’s beneficiary,” says Park Steering Committee Chair, Bill Kell.

Located in the east Riverside area of Windsor, Ontario, the Farrow Riverside Miracle Park is home to The Solcz Family Foundation Field, Cenotaph and a fully accessible playground.

“Funds raised through the tournament will be allocated to the playground, which will enable quality of life for all children who utilize the facilities on-site,” says Park Fundraising Chair, Dave Cooke. “Children of all ages and abilities will utilize this equipment while developing both social skills and increased physical activity in an all-inclusive fun environment!”

The Tournament, which has been occurring since 2009, has benefited a variety of non-profit organizations and charities throughout Windsor-Essex County toward enabling their vision and missions.

The communities of Windsor-Essex are welcome to participate in this tournament by way of registering individuals (or foursomes) to golf and/or support through sponsorship or donations of live or silent auction items. 

Mayor Gary McNamara’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place at Beach Grove Golf & Country Club on Monday, September 14, 2020 (9:30 a.m. Registration / 11:00 a.m. Shotgun Start).
